The annual Village Bakery Half Marathon, which included the North Wales Championships, started ay the rugby club in Wrexham on 21st February when, flying the flag for Bro Dysynni AC, Glenda Davies established her dominance on the North Wales scene by winning the treble - 1st North Wales lady, 1st veteran lady and 1st lady over-35 in a time of 1hrs 43.03mins. She was followed by club mate Brenda Jones, 1st North Wales lady over-55 in a time of 1hr 45.55mins as well as age group open category winner.


There was continued success for Malcolm Taylor, victorious in the male over-55 category in 1hr 32.06mins, and in a race dominated by veterans, Tom Lewis finished in 1hr 28.00mins and Colin Evans in 1hr 35.21mins.


Evergreen super-vet, Tom Evans, was 2nd male over-70 and 1st male over-75 in 1hr 57.08mins. Tom was confident that the 'easy' run could be improved upon when he gets down to some 'serious' training.


Sheila Symonds claimed 1st female over-65, just outside her target time of 2hrs 30.00mins.
