We had a small turn out at Lillishall, for the fourth North Wales XC League two ladies and myself.
As usual this season the course was very wet, alot of lying water, and heavy with mud. As the photos show.
Brenda Jones 0/70 was 68th in 34.04 and Yolanda Marconi-Nolan 0/60 72nd in 35.43 in the Ladies race over 3 small laps 5625metres.
John Nolan 115th in 53.53 in the Mens race over 4 Large laps 9.100metres.

The National Sports Centre in Lilleshall, Shropshire recently played host to the penultimate fixture within the 2012/13 season of the Grand Prix Express North Wales Cross Country League with inclement weather conditions greeting those competing in the fourth of the five league fixtures, resulting in a slight decrease within the numbers competing on the day.

In the 'Senior Mens' event, both Meirionnydd Running Club & Bro Dysynni A.C. were represented. Leading home the five Meirionnydd athletes in action was Dave Parker, claiming a strong 20th placed finishing position in a time of 37.59mins. Ifan Richards of Brithdir was the next Meirionnydd finisher as a time of 39.19mins ensured a 30th position finishing slot. The Meirionnydd team were completed by the trio of Dylan Jones of Aberdyfi, Clive Edgington of Friog & Arfon Hughes of Dolgellau claiming respective finishing times of 39.35mins, 41.59mins & 43.43mins. Representing Bro Dysynni A.C. on this occasion was John Nolan, the club stalwart home in a pleasing time of 53.50mins. After the Lilleshall fixture, the senior men of Meirionnydd maintained their 5th place standing within Division 1 of the league with Bro Dysynni A.C. standing in 16th spot in Division 2.

Within the 'Senior Female' race, there was representation from a duo of established Bro Dysynni athletes. Brenda Jones of Llanelltyd was the first of the duo home, as a time of 34.07mins also claimed age category success within the Female Over-70 section whilst Yo Marconi-Nolan continued her strong cross country season, coming home in a time of 35.43mins. As a result of these two strong performances, the senior ladies team of Bro Dysynni A.C. climbed one place, from 8th to 7th, within the 2nd Division of the league.
