Athletes from both Bro Dysynni AC & Meirionnydd Running Club have been well represented at two relatively local events recently.

Firstly, a total of 9 locally affiliated athletes formed part of a field of just under 150 competitors who headed to Aberystwyth to take part in the annual Twin Peaks Race. In an event measuring just under 7 miles in distance, competitors were faced with the twin challenge of climbs up Pen Dinas & Constitution Hill as part of the event. In a race won by Cardiff AAC athlete, Andres Jones, in a time of 43.25mins, the 1st locally affiliated athlete home, in an overall 5th spot, was Tom Roberts of Dolgellau, the Meirionnydd RC athlete completing the event in a time of 49.15mins. Of the 18 in action, 14 wore the colours of Meirionnydd RC and it was they who took the plaudits in the 'Senior Men's' race as a team of 9 showed real strength in depth.
