Hot and humid conditions greeted the seven athletes from Bro Dysynni who formed part of the field of 89 at last Saturdays Castell Dinas Bran six mile race in Llangollen. The race is one of the toughest on the circuit due to the near two mile climb which takes runners up to Castell Dinas Bran.

Performance of the day for the Dysynni runners undoubtedly came from Paula Jeffs, who won the ladies race in 42.01mins, a great feat considering Paula was running with a niggling hip injury.

The overall race winner was Tony Power of Telford, who completed the course in a remarkable time of 31.39mins, this was some two minutes ahead of Bro Dysynni's Adrian Bailey, sprinting home in 3rd place in a time of 33.36mins. The other 5 Bro Dysynni runners who completed the course were Nigel Evans, 39.29mins, Malcolm Taylor, 41.31mins, Barrie Jackson (2nd male over-55) in 44.31mins, Colin Evans, 44.41mins and Andy Unwin in 47.53mins.
